The short version. PatchBoy keeps your shows on your device. Your stage plots, input lists and patches stay on your phone or iPad. We don't have accounts, we don't sell data, and nothing is uploaded unless you personally choose to share a show with your crew — which sends only a short code and the plot itself, never personal information.
When you build a show — placing sources on the stage, naming channels, picking mics and a console, and assigning the patch — PatchBoy saves that document locally on your device. These shows do not leave your device and are not sent to eighty32.
Crew share is an optional feature you turn on per show. When you create or join a shared show, PatchBoy uses a lightweight relay to share only:
No names, emails, accounts, contacts or location are sent. Shared show data is held only to relay it between the devices using the code and is automatically deleted after a short period. If you never use crew share, PatchBoy makes no network connection with your show data at all.
PatchBoy Pro is an auto-renewing annual subscription ($29.99/year or local equivalent) sold through Apple. Purchases, billing and renewals are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy; eighty32 never receives your payment details. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Apple may share anonymized, aggregated sales and subscription metrics with us through App Store Connect.
PatchBoy does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. If you opt in, Apple may provide standard, aggregated App Store and crash diagnostics through App Store Connect; these are not tied to your identity by eighty32.
Deleting a show in the app removes it from your device. Removing the app deletes its local data. Because there are no accounts, there is no server-side profile to delete; any shared show data expires automatically.
PatchBoy is a professional tool for live-sound and production work and is not directed to children.
